Why won’t my vertical carriage lock hold anymore?
Answer:
  • Check the lock asm on the back of the column it may be falling apart and needs to be replaced.
  • Check to make sure you have 24 VDC at the lock coil.
My horizontal locks are sticking and sometimes they won’t let go easily
Answer: Replace them they may be defective.
How come my tube roll feature all of a sudden is very hard to rotate to the table and wall?
Answer: One or both of the cone roll lock bearings are defective and needs to be replaced.
Why won’t my tube roll locks hold very good between detents anymore when I rotate it to the wallstand, sometimes the tube drifts down?
Answer:
  • Clean the brake disc and the roll lock magnet with alcohol they are not holding because they could be dirty.
  • If cleaning them doesn't work replace the brake disc and magnets.
How often should preventive maintenance be performed on my tubestand?
Answer: Preventive maintenance should be performed regularly, 30 days after installation, and every six months thereafter. Bearings, Electrical Cabling, Fasteners, Painted Surfaces, Floor Structural Fasteners, Ground connections, X-ray to light field alignment.
Why are all of my tubestand locks not working?
Answer:
  • Make sure power is turned on.
  • Make sure that the power source circuit breaker is turned on.
  • Check the junction box fuse F1 is not blown.
  • Check power supply fuses according to power supply manual.
How wide is the floor plate on floor mounted tubestand?
Answer: All Floor Mounted tubestands have a 18" wide floor base plate.

Where does the connector that is marked “PA” connect to that comes out of one of the hoses in the back of the column?
Answer: If you have a Linear IV Collimator it is not used. If you do have a Linear IV Collimator it connects to the table pot assembly, 122-5042G1, in either the EV650 or EV800.

Can my tubestand be operated on 240 volts instead of 120 volts?
Answer: Yes,
  • This tubestand comes pre-wired for 120 VAC direct from the factory, but this unit can also be operated on 240 VAC.
  • You will need to replace the current Voltage Jumper Plug part# 126-5159G1with a new one that will allow this tubestand  to operate on a supply 240 volt line. Part# is 126-5159G2 Voltage Jumper Plug for 240 VAC.
How wide is the floor plate on my DFMTS?
Answer: These floor mounted tubestands have a 18" wide floor base plate.

Why doesn’t my column rotate very well, the detent seems loose?
Answer:
  • Check the detent bearing it may be broken and needs to be replaced.
  • Check the 3 bolts inside the bottom of the column under the counterweight pad they may be loose, if they are loose consult our service bulletin# 1011 on our website.
When I try to rotate my tube it is very hard to rotate how can I make it easier to rotate?
Answer: Replace the cone bearings they are defective.
My Transverse Arm Detent doesn’t detent anymore. What is happening?
Answer: Check the detent asm inside the transverse arm the flat spring may be broken. Replace the entire detent asm.
Why won’t my tube roll locks hold very well between detents anymore when I rotate it to the wallstand, sometimes the tube drifts down?
Answer:
  • Clean the brake disc and the roll lock magnets with alcohol they are not holding because they could be dirty or the tube and collimator quite simply just are not balanced.
  • If cleaning them doesn't work replace the brake disc and magnets this may help.

Answer: One or both of the (cone) roll lock bearings are defective and needs to be replaced.
Which tubestands have rotational column feature?
Answer: FW/FC and all Floor Mounted tubestands have rotational column feature.
My roll locks do not hold very well, the tube sometimes slips downwards. What should I do?
Answer:
  • Make sure both lock coils are working.
  • Clean the brake plate and magnetic lock coils with alcohol.
  • Make sure you have 24 VDC applied to lock coils.
  • If necessary replace the brake plate and both magnets.

Why is the magnet at the top of the tubestand missing?
Answer: This model tubestand 3306B, K871 does not have this feature it is only available on model FW/FC tubestands.
What is the voltage for my locks on my tubestand?
Answer: All the magnetic locks on the tubestand are 24 VDC.
With the locks applied what is the holding force of the vertical carriage.
Answer: Your vertical carriage was designed with the brake applied to hold 7 pounds. If it is holding less than that check voltage to vertical lock coil it should measure 24 VDC. If it is not measuring at least 22 VDC replace it or check power supply.
Can I get longer floor and ceiling rails mine are too short/long?
Answer: Yes, floor and ceiling rails come in 4 different lengths 6'-8'-10' and 12' long.

Answer: This model tubestand 3307B does not have this feature it is only available on model FW/FC tubestands.
